Meditating is a great way to reduce stress and create calm during the craziness life can bring sometimes.
It doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time either, nor does it require many supplies. 
Most meditation techniques can be done anywhere…in a room in your home, at your office desk, or even in your car while commuting.
One technique is grounding. This helps someone regain their mental focus from an often intensely
emotional state. A simple grounding exercise that can be done anywhere is this: Look around you and
identify: 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing that you
taste. By placing focus on these 5 tasks, it distracts our mind from focusing on something that may be
causing stress at the moment.
Simply breathing can help us regain calmness. Try this breathing technique as a way to force yourself to
slow down and get oxygen to your brain, which it may need if you’ve been breathing fast during a
stressful situation. Breathe in for 4 seconds, Hold for 4 seconds, Breathe out for 4 seconds, and Hold for
4 seconds. Repeat this five times to help you regroup and gather your thoughts.
Concentration meditation is another technique. There are four ways you can do this.
 Each one can be done for 1-2 minutes.
Focus on a single point.
Repeat a single word for mantra.
Stare at a candle flame.
Count beads on a necklace.
Moving meditation obviously can’t be done in a car, but can be done indoors or outside at a park orother quiet place. Examples of this type of meditation include Tai Chi, Walking, and Yoga
It’s important to take time to relax and calm yourself down throughout the day. 
Whether you start your day with short meditation, practice it at various times throughout the day, make it something you do just before bed, or even a combination of each of these times…slowing down your mind and bringing back your focus will help you feel a sense of control and confidence as you go about your day and help lower your stress levels overall!
